With the children grown and ready to leave the nest, these clients wished to remain in their home instead of downsizing. they requested an exterior upgrade and complete renovation throughout the interior. Dated brick and siding were replaced with stucco, giving the facade of the house a clean, cohesive appearance. Inside, the old-fashioned flooring was replaced with either hardwood or limestone tiles. A colour palette of soft taupes, cremes, and ivories add to the updated and sophisticated look of the interior while the removal of an interior wall on the ground floor allowed for a more fashionable open concept area. An existing breezeway between the house and garage was enclosed to provide a mudroom entry and larger laundry facilities. Basement remodeling produced a guest bedroom and bathroom, and exercise room and a secondary family room for their teenage kids.
